I was glad that there were mental health services for the hearing impaired available to take my son to. There are not many doctors that can communicate with this population or hospitals with staff that can serve their needs. It is difficult enough for him to get his needs met but to sort out issues when in a crisis with improperly prepared staff would have been more traumatic.

I'm a single parent raising a deaf child with mental disabilities. I was introduced to a Therapeutic School for her called Center Glen. At first I was nervous about sending my child away from home but I knew she needed professional help. I visited the facilities, did some research and gave it a try. Center Glen was the best choice I could have ever made. The entire staff is exceptional. The doctors and educational staff care about her needs and even in the event of financial situations they are able to provide services. The staff takes time to give 1 on 1 time and group therapy for the children. My most favorite part is the fact that they teach her how to live in the everyday world.

On behalf of my daughter Alissa and me, we would like to express our gratitude and support of Mental Health and Deafness Resources. We have been a part of the Mental Health and Deafness family for over 5 years. Their professionalism and dedication have been key reasons for Alissa's continuing development and success. They have been a tremendous resource for our family and we highly recommend them for those in need of specialty education services. We are especially grateful to Alissa's teachers, aids, and staff members for their caring services.
